Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible General Gastroenterologist to join a high-volume, well-supported GI practice in Fredericksburg and Stafford, Virginia.Position Highlights
    Hybrid inpatient/outpatient role
  • Procedure-heavy practice (~75% procedures / 25% clinic)
  • Majority outpatient with minimal inpatient responsibilities
  • Supported by GI hospitalists, APPs, fellows, and residents
Practice Details
  • Perform EGD, colonoscopy, and endoscopic procedures
  • Procedures at 3 sites: Stafford Hospital, Mary Washington Hospital, Central Park ASC
  • Clinic locations in Fredericksburg & Stafford, VA
  • Advanced technology: GI Genius™, Olympus scopes, Epic EMR
  • Dedicated anesthesia and experienced endoscopy staff
Schedule & Call
  • 4 clinical days + 1 admin day (Mon–Fri)
  • Typical hours: 7:30am – 5:00pm
  • Shared call (~1:10), ~5 weeks/year
  • Light call burden with fellows assisting
Team & Growth
  • Join 11 Gastroenterologists and 10 APPs
  • GI Fellowship launching in 2026
  • Opportunities for subspecialty development (IBD, hepatology, advanced endoscopy)
  • Potential for ASC ownership / buy-in

Qualifications
  • ABIM Board Certified/Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Virginia license (or eligible)
  • No visa sponsorship available
