Job Summary:

The Staffing Specialist is responsible for processing internal transfers and liaising with agency vendors for all contingent worker selection, orientation and onboarding (both contractors and travelers).

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates all recruitment activity for clinical and non-clinical departments for contingent staffing, including assurance that all required information is appropriately keyed into Workday and entered in Smartsheet as applicable.  Verify licenses and certifications for necessary positions.
  • Process all internal transfers, ensuring all compliance requirements are documented and appropriate steps completed in Workday for efficient and timely transitions.
  • Coordinates background check processes as required and communicate to appropriate parties on completeness/pending issues.
  • Works collaboratively with leadership to proactively identify contingent worker needs.
  • Provides functional guidance to Human Resources staff as needed regarding contingent workers.
  • Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports through Workday and other sources as required to include all contingent worker reporting.
  • Supports pre-boarding process for new hires on site as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum three years of Human Resource experience required. Experience in a health care setting preferred.
  • Ability to effectively and accurately manage multiple tasks and complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications.

Required

Physical Requirements: Constant (67-100% of workday) sitting and use of arms and hands; occasional (0-33% of workday) standing, walking, bending, squatting; ability to lift, push, and pull up to 10 lbs.; auditory and visual skills.

Mental Requirements: Possesses critical thinking and analytical skills.  Ability to multi-task.  Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team. 

Environmental Requirements and Exposure Hazards: Potential risk of exposure to chemicals.

Compensation Pay Range:

$25.42 - $35.59
