Provider Compensation Analyst (Remote)

Job Summary:

The Provider Compensation Analyst provides compensation consulting services to Operations, Finance, Human Resources, providers, and other internal stakeholders on provider compensation topics. This position supports the design of specialty compensation models, provider productivity analysis and forecasting, data analysis, provider contract administration, and survey benchmarking. The Provider Compensation Analyst follows provider compensation processes as outlined by the Provider Compensation Philosophy, Policy, and Standards documents, participates in processes to validate Fair Market Value (FMV) and Commercial Reasonableness, and provides recommendations that support competitive and legally compliant compensation practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Partners with operational leaders to assess Commercial Reasonableness of provider compensation practices.
  • Retrieves benchmarking and other relevant data to formulate recommendations that support competitive, cost-effective, and legally compliant provider compensation programs and practices.
  • Updates provider workbooks with relevant details through contract review and collaboration with operational leaders.
  • Reviews own work for quality assurance of provider compensation data and reporting to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Partners with contracted appraisers/consultants to provide requested data and supporting documentation for FMV assessments.
  • Provides updates on provider compensation action items in recurring Service Line and Department meetings.
  • Requests contracts and amendments as directed.
  • Maintains and audits various databases and payroll systems for provider compensation, FTE allocations, productivity and other relevant information to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Supports departmental provider compensation processes and administration activities to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant operations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


Required :


  • A minimum of one year of compensation, provider compensation, finance, data analytics or related experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, forecasting, and data analysis techniques as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Preferred:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting provider compensation programs, compensation benchmarking, productivity analysis, or provider financial operations.

Physical Requirements: Constant (67-100% of workday) sitting and use of arms and hands; occasional (0-33% of workday) standing, walking, bending, squatting; ability to lift, push, and pull up to 10 lbs.; auditory and visual skills.


Mental Requirements: Possesses critical thinking and analytical skills.  Ability to multi-task.  Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.

Compensation Pay Range:

$41.41 - $62.11
