Job SummaryThe Epic Analyst II independently configures, maintains, and optimizes Epic EHR modules to support clinical and operational workflows. This role involves gathering requirements, designing solutions, and ensuring system functionality aligns with organizational goals. Duties include building and testing Epic modules, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with upgrades or enhancements. This role works independently on system build and troubleshooting and participates in projects for new functionality.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Independently perform Epic system build, configuration, testing, and validation.
- Manage Epic upgrades, maintenance, and optimization tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision.
- Participate in and contribute to departmental or cross-department projects for new modules or enhancements.
- Coordinate change management, interface management, and troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate documentation for workflow, build, and support processes.
- Provide guidance and informal mentoring to Epic Analyst I.
- Apply working knowledge of clinical workflows and business processes in supported areas.
- Meets regularly with operational areas to understand, translate, and assist with their needs related to Epic.
- Execute and document Disaster Recovery testing for assigned applications and participate in issue remediation.
- Independently coordinate troubleshooting across teams and with vendors.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- HS degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years in healthcare IT or Epic application support.
- Knowledge of integration points between Epic modules.
- Strong understanding of clinical or revenue cycle workflows.
- Epic certification in assigned application(s) required at hire.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
