+ How do I apply for a position at Mary Washington Healthcare?

Search for positions of interest at www.mwhccareers.com and accurately complete and submit the electronic application. You will be instructed to create an applicant account. There is an online assessment that follows the application which is a required and important part of our hiring process – please find a quiet space and take your time with this!

+ I’ve forgotten my username and/or password?

For assistance with your username and/or password, please click the “Forgot User Name or Password” link beneath the LOGIN button.

+ Do you accept paper applications or resumes?

No, in order to be considered an applicant, you must apply through our online application process.

+ Can I make a change to my application after I have submitted it?

No, if you need to make a change to your application, you will have to re-apply in order to update your application information. Or, should you get called for an interview, you may bring your updated resume with you.

+ Can I change my address, phone or email information?

Yes, you can update your personal information by logging in to your applicant portal and clicking on the My Profile tab.

+ What happens to my application once I apply?

Once you have created your applicant account and submitted your application, it will be thoroughly reviewed by an experienced healthcare recruiter. If there is a strong match between your qualifications and the requirements for the position, you may be contacted by phone or email for further information.

+ If you are considering me for an interview, how long does it take to hear back after I’ve successfully submitted my application?

Each position will vary depending on the hiring manager, the number of applicants, and the urgency of the need to fill the position. Please allow 2 – 3 weeks to hear from a hiring manager if you are selected for interview.

+ Will I hear from someone if I am not selected for the job I applied to?

Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are not able to respond to each individual applicant. You may check the status of your submitted application through your online applicant portal.

+ How do I check the status of my application through my online applicant portal?

Check your status online by logging in to your applicant portal you created at the time of application. If we are no longer considering your application, you either did not meet the qualifications for the position or another applicant who best fit the position was selected. Please continue to visit our careers portal for other positions that may be a match for your interest and experience.

+ How do I contact the hiring manager or recruiter directly?

It is not our practice to provide information about our hiring manager or recruiters unless you are selected for an interview. If you are selected for an interview (by phone or in-person), you will be contacted by a recruiter or hiring manager/designee and provided with information regarding contact information and interview location/time.

+ Does Mary Washington Healthcare offer an OR training program for experienced nurses without any OR experience?

We do offer a “New to the OR” training program for experienced nurses without OR Experience. It is a 6-9-month orientation that includes both classroom instruction and didactic experience through the AORN Periop101 program.

+ I am a student nurse or new graduate – how does your new graduate RN program work?

We offer an innovative Nurse Residency Program designed to help recent student nurses successfully transition into their new role of professional nurse. Visit our website’s student tab for more detailed information about our program.
