Basic Purpose:
The Assistant Director has responsibility for the integration, facilitation, and coordination of the leadership, management, clinical and quality initiatives of the service. This position serves as a professional role model, leader, and mentor to members of the healthcare team in accordance with organizational and departmental philosophy and goals. This position represents the service and is a liaison to internal and external customers. The Assistant Director coordinates the development of an environment that promotes excellence in clinical practice and customer satisfaction, while striving for optimal efficiency and productivity of all resources.
Qualifications
Graduate from a nurse anesthesia program that is accredited by the boards of nursing and medicine or the council on the Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs/Schools
Must possess current license as a Registered Nurse from the State of Virginia.
Current Virginia licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Anesthesia.
A minimum of four years experience as a CRNA and six years as a Registered Nurse
Current Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by the state of Virginia.
Successful completion of the pre-placement employment evaluation.
Successful completion of the credentialing or recredentialing process through the office of Medical Staff Servi
Assistant Director CRNA
Acts as liaison between all MediCorp Anesthesia sites to include FASC, MWH and SHC.Collaborates with Director to plan, implement, maintain and manage department budget.Provides direct Anesthesia clinical services as required to support the caseload of the department.
