- Associates of Science in Nursing - ACLS Certified Required - American Heart Association CPR - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification - 1 year ER experience required
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) assumes the accountability and responsibility as a professional nurse for providing total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered care for an assigned group of patients. The RN is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN’s duties include, but not limited to the following:
Directing and coordinating all nursing care for patients based on established clinical practice standards.
Collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Supporting the organization’s vision, mission and values.
Utilizing knowledge of patient’s age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care.
Participating in and accepting responsibility for functions delegated to the team.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Virginia or eligible
Bachelors degree in nursing or healthcare related field preferred.
Minimum of one year current ED experience REQUIRED.
Successful completion of pre-placement/employment evaluation
